Give Your MCP Service a Predictable Address
If you’re making an MCP service available for your business, consider giving it a predictable address:
mcp.yourdomain.tld
I use mcp.jamesburchill.com. It’s easy to recognize, easy to share, and lets me change the infrastructure behind it without changing the address people use.
This is a naming convention I’d like to see more businesses adopt. It won’t make AI assistants automatically discover or connect to your service, but it gives people a sensible place to look.
