Your Voice Isn’t the Value

AI didn’t steal your lunch — you just forgot how to cook.
The Myth of the Sacred “Voice”
Writers love to worship their “voice” like it’s some divine gift from the muses. They’ll tell you it’s what makes them special — what separates them from the machines. But here’s the truth: you can still talk complete bollocks in your own voice. If your content doesn’t land, I don’t care how unique you sound.
Your voice isn’t the value. It’s not the main dish. It’s the garnish. The thing that makes something tasty after the meal’s worth eating. Once the content connects, your voice helps me process it. But if you’re serving garbage, it doesn’t matter whether it’s wrapped in velvet or tin foil — it’s still garbage.
AI Didn’t Steal Anything
This is where so many writers lose the plot. They’re wailing that “AI is stealing our voice” while completely missing the point. AI didn’t take your art — it revealed how thin your craft really was.
I use AI every day. My tone might come off a bit robotic sometimes, but the value? Incontestable. I’m orchestrating the result. The thinking, the structure, the narrative flow — that’s all human. AI just gets the technical crap out of the way so I can move faster.
That’s not cheating. That’s evolution.
The Voice Is the Ribbon, Not the Gift
Readers don’t care how you made it. They care whether it lands — whether it’s useful, true, and worth their time. AI helps me deliver that faster and cleaner. The voice? It’s just the final polish, not the product.
Let’s be honest. The writers crying foul about “AI taking their lunch” aren’t defending creativity. They’re defending inefficiency. They’ve mistaken effort for excellence. They think that suffering for their words somehow makes the result better. It doesn’t. It just makes them tired.
The Future Belongs to the Commanders
I don’t fear AI. I direct it. It’s my amplifier. It scales my ideas. It accelerates production.
The lazy will vanish — not because AI took their jobs, but because AI exposed their emptiness. The ones who stay? The commanders. The thinkers. The ones who understand that the value is in the message, not the medium.
So no, AI didn’t steal your lunch.
You just forgot how to cook.
And as always … StayFrosty!
